Bit Dash - Joint School Game Jam

Hong Kong, 21 December 2025 — Over the weekend, Ying Wa College hosted Bit Dash 2025, a joint‑school game jam that brought together some of the city’s brightest young minds in coding, design, and innovation.
The event was co‑organised by the I.T. & Computer Society of Ying Wa College, the Computer Society of St. Paul’s College, and the STEAM Team of Ying Wa Girls’ School, with additional participation from CUHKFAA Thomas Cheung Secondary School and ESF King George V School.
For 48 hours, students worked intensively to design and develop original games under the themes of Ocean, Space, and Survival. The atmosphere was one of excitement and collaboration, as teams brainstormed, coded, and tested their projects in real time. Judges praised the creativity and technical execution of the submissions, noting the impressive quality achieved within such a short timeframe; they also gave advice on presentation, contents and game development, it is certain that participants had a fruitful takeaway from this event.

• 1st Runner-Up: YWC/SPC
• 2nd Runner-Up: YWGS - Yes We Go and Sleep
• Best Speaker Award: Cheung Ching Yu Yora and Leung Hilary
Beyond the awards, Bit Dash 2025 was celebrated for its role in fostering inter‑school collaboration. Students not only honed their game development skills and teamwork but also built friendships and networks that extend beyond the competition.
